Bungee Jumping in New Hampshire – Top Places & Operators

Bungee jumping is one of the most exhilarating, terrifying, and important things you can do in your life. Some of your friends may start to question your sanity if you tell them you want to go bungee jumping. But it takes a lot of guts to bungee jump. It may not be for everybody.

If you are an adventure junkie and have decided to go bungee jumping, then it might be one of the best things you’ve ever done. The activity offers undiluted fun and excitement with a tinge of fear, especially for the beginner jumper. The first thing bungee jumping requires is for you to conquer your fears and this isn’t just the fear of heights.

I’m sure you’ll agree with me that jumping off a bridge or mountain with just a rope attached to your ankles will be terrifying, especially for the first time. Bungee jumping is jumping despite your fear and the sense of accomplishment you feel later will stay with you forever.

There is a couple of bungee jumping destinations across the United States. However, there are no places you can go bungee jumping in New Hampshire at this time.

Other Adventure Sports in New Hampshire

Thanks to Mount Washington, New Hampshire has a mountaineering destination. There are different levels of adventure at Mount Washington allowing you to choose the one that suits you best. There’s an auto road you can drive on during summer and that’s an adventure in itself.

If you are feeling up for it, you can hike to the top and you’ll be rewarded with one of the most breathtaking views of New Hampshire.

Whitewater Rafting, Hiking, Kayaking

You may think kayaking isn’t fun or intense. But all you have to do is to take on some rapids and your opinion will change quickly. Be careful to choose rapids you can handle. If you want a gentler experience, then you should take on slow moving waters. Hiking is also a fun activity to do as walking in nature and breathing fresh air can do wonders for your stress level and mental health. Whitewater rafting

Another thing about New Hampshire is that you are never far from water and while the State has its own share of calm waters, there are fast rapids that are ideal for whitewater rafting. There are several whitewater outfitters in the State that provide guided trips. And these trips are usually affordable allowing you to go whitewater rafting as often as you like.

Ziplining

Ziplining is an interesting sport you should consider if you live in New Hampshire. Some people think ziplining isn’t intense but all you have to do is to use longer and steeper ziplines. And, you’ll find yourself racing at speeds of up to 100 mph. And your body will be flooded with good ol’ adrenaline. You’ll get a lot of airtime and zoom past open forest canopies and rivers. The view is breathtaking and you get to see nature in all its glory.

There are no bungee jumping opportunities in New Hampshire, and sadly, there aren’t even any in the neighboring states! There are only a handful of locations for bungee Jumping in the US, and none is near New Hampshire. That said, the state still offers very good destinations for other adrenaline sports and if you are willing to give up the idea of bungee jumping, for now, there is a lot of fun to be had in New Hampshire.
